Aluminum or stainless steel: What is safer for kitchen appliances?

Aluminum and stainless steel are the two most useful materials available in the kitchen. The cookware, domestic appliances like microwave, refrigerators, ovens, etc either made of aluminum or stainless steel grades.

Stainless steel is replacing aluminum rapidly. Although aluminum has some major advantages like lightweight, rapid heat conduction, cheaper option, etc in some instances it is not safe. Aluminum cookware can cause toxicity as it can leech into food. It is not advisable to use it at high temperatures. But aluminum bake ware is famous for ovens. The heat conduction property of aluminum is superb.

Stainless steel cookware is quite trendy among various other cookwares. Stainless steel pots, pan, pressure cookers are stable at high-temperature cooking. These are strong and durable for a lifetime. It lasts for more than aluminum cookware. Importantly, stainless steel cookware does not react in food which ensures a safe healthy feature for long time use. It is corrosion and scratch resistant and has a silver shine. Stainless steel cookware is dishwasher safe.

Stainless steel appliances feature more durability and safety than aluminum. Yet, it is expensive too, but challenges for a lifetime.
